Work Responsibilities
I was assigned to create designs for and redesign a variety of projects that included the consideration of ergonomics and the functions of the products. I used the skills I learned at RIT to develop an aesthetic for the project that also incorporated the company style and color brand. I also needed to bring my own creative thinking to the table while working on these projects.

How my career relates to my degree from RIT/NTID
I used what I learned from RIT industrial design courses such as sketching and rendering. I also used the Solidworks software, and the aesthetic and sustainability skills I had developed here while working on my co-op

I’m happy and proud to say that one of my toy designs won second place in a design competition as part of a design course called "Metaproject 03." The competition sponsor was the world-renowned, avant-garde accessories manufacturer, Areaware. My toy will be displayed this spring at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York City, and manufactured by Areaware to be sold in specialty stores.
